My children have always gone to Black River Elementary as there is no schools on post here. The post is split between three school districts, just depending on where you live. I love Black River Elementary. It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a smaller size school and the staff has always been exceptional.

In the four years we have lived, I do have one child that managed to attend every local school district. Our personal favorite was Calcium Primary in the Indian River School District. They worked very well with the military students and understood the changes that a child could go through when a parent is deployed. The staff was amazing and the curriculum was outstanding!

Currently my children are in the Indian River School District.

Calcium primary is a small school with grades ranging from Pre-K (part day), Kinder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The teachers are very friendly and encourage you to come in an participate with your children.

Indian River Intermediate School (or IRIS) is the 4th and 5th grade building. It is located out near the High School in Philidelphia. They reciently updated the school to expand it and make room for more students. Teachers here are also friendly and willing to work with your child

I do not know much about the Junior High or High Schools except that they share one building and the High School has a large auditorium used for plays.
