[Entering FlipCam GiveAway] Camille D says: There are children’s museums in Tacoma, Olympia and Seattle. On base there is The Escape Zone and Raindrops and Rainbows where there are crafts, activities, and outdoor space. The children’s room in the McChord Library is AWESOME, my kids love it. They have story time every week on Thursday’s.

Where should we take the kids? American Lake on base lake. There are MANY opportunities for the kids to participate in both on and off base.

“There’s tons of children’s museums, and play places. If you want to go to the city, would recommend a city pass, for seattle, can do the aquarium, zoo, museums, the space needle, and choose from a few others for a low price, pass is good for 9 days. Also there is chucky cheese, B and I, charlies safari (giant in door play place), my husband and i generally take the cheap route and take our small children to the malls play place, several malls have large indoor play places that are free. (auburn super mall and tacoma mall, and south hill mall in puyallup.)”

In some locations the YMCA might not support the military program anymore, but make sure you ask first.
